- Subject: P 76 Motor in the car and running!
- Thursday, 16 October 2003
- Hi guys,
- The P76 motor is in the car and about 30 kilometers has been done with no mishaps. It is running cold at present as it is not loaded up. Ron has replaced the oil cooler with a more efficient one and removed the weighty oil accumulator. Anybody wants to but an oil accumulator contact me. The old 320 HP motor is also for sale. Would suit an offroader or jet boat. The car is registered and will be warranted tomorrow. The car is booked in for a Dyno run in Hamilton on Tuesday next week.Ed is planning to take the car after Ron is finished and run a spanner check at Mike's. I am planning to arrive in AKL Wednesday afternoon and hopefully get a ride down to Hamlton or better yet get Ed to bring the car up to the airport and go back together in it. Apparently the motor fitted under the bonnet, just, and may not need any other adjustment other than a slight raising of the rear bonnet pins.
- It has been close but we really only have the decals to do and the paper work to finalise. Let's hope we have a successful Targa NZ 2003!
