Western Australia P76 Owners Club - 2008

The Annual BMC Leyland Day

by Lianne

We were blessed with beautiful spring weather for the 10th edition of the annual BMC Leyland Day. The event was held at Manning Park in Spearwood, and was once again part of the annual Rotary Spring Fair.
The P76 club had 15 P76s, plus 3 Marinas on show. Ray Le Cocq brought along his yellow P76 drag racing car, which was a real crowd-puller all day. This car is now supercharged. The three Marinas were a 4 cylinder coupe, a 4 cylinder sedan
The “Best Display Car” trophy was awarded to the Bold as Brass Super V8 P76 of Riley and Lyn Bradley. They had traveled to Perth from Manjimup to attend this show, and returned home on Sunday afternoon. It is the first time that a P76 has won the “Best Display Car” trophy at the BMC Leyland Day – congratulations to Riley and Lyn !
The P76 club “in house’ trophies were all selected by the President, and were awarded to the following:
Adam Woodwards - Bold as Brass Super V8 (modified);
Tony Moisley - Omega Navy Targa Florio;
Ray Le Cocq - Yellow Drag Car.
