Bike run
As part of the activities Hal had organised a run with the local Gunnedah Motor Bike Riders Club who were going on a annual rememberence run.
The run was in memory of a local Curlewis collector who at his peak had over 40 historical motor bike.
So that he could see the bikes running he asked the local motor bike enthisiast by taking his bikes for a run.
The collection has since been broken up but the Riders club still celebrates this event annually.
Starting at the Museum they head out of Gunnedah to Mullaley for the first stop then onto Tambar Springs the home of the Diproton (big wombat) finishing for lunch at Premer.
Mullaley - First stop
Second stop - Tambar Springs Hotel
Last stop - Premer
Lunch was supplied by a local family and was by gold coin.
Fay drove with Hal navigating via Curlewis to Gunnedah using the back roads.
I am glad that Fay was driving because I feel we could not have keep up to Hal.
Stop for a wee break and top up at another local hotel at Curlewis.
