- G'day all
- A man named John has just reproduced P76 Door trims!!!
- They have been seen by and met the approval of The Green Boys.
- They are very impressive to say the least.
- He can make them with any available Vinyl and any available Carpet.. This means that the custom options are almost endless!!
- And of course Super and executive restorations.
- The ones he currently has listed on Ebay are imperial Leather (Brown)
- I suggest everyone have a look at

- And support this gentleman in his endeavour as we are indeed very lucky he has done this.
- There are many other classic cars who can’t get these types of items and now we can get them brand NEW!!

- The value of original cars will go down as more and more reproduction parts become available.
- i found this with my other car EH Holden prices went down as parts become available.
- and most trim shops can reproduce the standard trims for around $450-$500 please go get a price before you rush off and buy these.
- you may save yourself a bit of money.

- From Stuart to James
- Hi James
- I have found quite the opposite to both the statements you have made.
- Both my Holdens and Fords have significantly improved in value as more and more exact reproduction parts arrived and indeed the NOS parts went up as well to levels way above what they once were.
- Cars we restored and sold in the 90’s would all be worth 3 times now what they were then at least. The XYGT I did would now be worth more than 5 times.
- And most motor trimmers whilst they can make you door trims certainly can’t do a set for the prices you are quoting, especially exact reproductions.
- There is significant tooling required to heat weld the lines and mylar (chrome strips) onto the trims and most trimmers can’t do that at all and those who sometimes can, can then only do straight lines.
- If you genuinely have someone capable of this quality for the price you quote then who are they?
- On top of that the guy is personable, easy to find and ca get the trims done in a sensible time frame.
- The Ford and Holden ones whilst available for most 60s and 70s cars have incredible lead times and cost the same or more for a set..
- My HR ones were ordered 2 years ago and I still have yet to receive them.
- These trims and the service that goes with them really are something special.
- I am promoting this guy because he deserves our support for this quality product
- In the same way TRAX, Restored cars and others do too.
- As a P76 community we nearly let TRAX down at first and that we have to avoid or people won’t take chances on making such things.
- So when we do need them they just won’t be there and we will be left with sub standard parts or indeed none!
- Cheers

From James Mentiplay to James
- Most trim shops will not able to reproduce the P76 Super and Executive door cards as stated below.
- The reason being that the Super and Executive units have the chrome foil trim surrounding the wood grain insert, the replicating of this requires a special process. Something that is well out of the league of most trimmers.
- These latest ones look superb, and full credit to the person who has gone to the effort of having them made. Hopefully we fully support him.
